Setup
(SelectSource & Employer) |
SelectSource completes setup upon receipt
of necessary data from you.
We will notify current COBRA enrollees of our
role as administrator, and mail their monthly premium coupons. |
Event Notification
(Employer) |
You have 30 days to notify us of any COBRA
events.
At this time, you will terminate the qualified
beneficiary's coverage(s) with the carrier(s). |
COBRA Notice
(SelectSource) |
After receiving an event notification from you, SelectSource has 14 days to mail the Qualifying
Event Letter and Election Form to the qualified beneficiary. (The HIPAA
Certificate of Coverage will also be included.)
At this point, we will begin tracking the
enrollment period. |
Enrollment
(SelectSource & Carriers) |
When SelectSource receives a COBRA election form and initial payment, we will reinstate the COBRA enrollee with the carrier(s) and send out the monthly premium coupons. |
Premium Collection
(SelectSource) |
SelectSource will collect premiums directly from the COBRA participant and provide accurate adjudication to ensure that only eligible enrollees remain on COBRA. |
Premium Disbursements
(SelectSource) |
Each month, we will disburse collected premiums directly to the carrier(s), along with full documentation and reporting. |
Correspondence &
Customer Service
(SelectSource) |
We will mail all required notices within the
mandated COBRA timeframes.
Our staff will handle all customer-service calls and issues. |
Terminations &
HIPAA Certificates
(SelectSource & Carriers) |
When COBRA coverage ends, SelectSource
will send a termination notice to the enrollee,
along with a HIPAA Certificate for the COBRA
coverage period.
We will also notify carrier(s) of the termination. |
